The Marion von Schröder Verlag was originally founded
by Marion Janet von Schröder as "Verlag für
die Frau" in 1935 in Hamburg and mainly published
classical literature. The founding date might suggest
a somewhat regime friendly catalogue, but this is speculation.
In 1969, the publishing house moved to Econ in Düsseldorf
and published a small number of approx. twelve titles
per year, among it a few science-fiction titles.
Since 2004, MvS is part of Ullstein in Berlin and now
again focusses on "female literature".
