Content:
A very interesting novel about people living on the inside
of a planet. They are human, sharing the world with so
called demons. The world these humans live in is not exactly
made for humans, however.
They have managed to adapt to the circumstances, have
built up a form of society, making use of the vast city
they live in. Alledgedly there are other cities on, or
rather, in this world.
The city is shaken by earthquakes and inner turmoil, the
society being a bit on the weird side, since humans can
not die, really. After accidents they reappear unharmed.
At some point, all goes haywire, the world is shook up
pretty badly and the whole ecosystem starts to change,
apparently in order to accomodate a new, non-human race.
The humans in turn find themselves taking on the role
of the demons ...
