Content:
Maybe one of the most
disconnected storylines, this novel (previously published
as "The Unteleported Man") does indeed read
like the adventurous novel its process of creation makes
you expect.
There is a mass exodus to a promising colony via one-way-teleportation,
run by a fascist type Germany (so to speak).
Then there is a guy with a seemingly Jewish name who
gets very suspicious about no-one returning and plans
to take the last ship his no bancrupt company still
owns to the faraway colony to find out what's really
happening.
Then by some sort of twist in the plot he decides to
teleport anyway and finds himself in a sort of parallel
universe / LSD induced surreality and then things start
getting a trifle weird.
Not to mention that he was tuned into a rat's brain
before, communicating with other rats ...
