Content:
In a society, maybe not too far in our future,
people don't live in their geographical anymore. They
also live in time regions. This means that although
I live in Germany, I might well live according to New
York time. Not that I couldn't do that right now, if
I really wanted to.
The people are carrying around things that are now called
iPhones or Blackberries, maybe the connectivity is a
little more exaggerated in Doctorow's book.
Our protagonist finds himself in trouble when two people
who seemed like partners want to get rid of him and
make the money they expect from a music sharing service
themselves.
Happy end.
An interesting read. You could do that in one session.
Naturally it's a little outdated now, but that's what
you get when you have to wait four years for a German
translation.
